PictureTime set up cinema theaters in small towns and rural areas using our patented Acoustic Enabled Inflated Enclosure, (AEIE). The enclosures are air conditioned and come integrated with a 5.1 Dolby sound system & push back cinema chairs bring cinema experience to the smaller towns which is at par with the best available in the metros. The theaters can be set up in less than a day and at a cost of about Rs 80 lakh. Our operational cost is also modest because of which we can screen films at ticket prices ranging between Rs 100 & Rs 150. We have the capacity to build 25 screens in a month and look to setting up 3000 cinema theaters in India over the next 5-8 years covering Tier 3 to Tier 5 towns & rural areas which have a sizeable population but no cinema screens.

MDMT MODELS

While the span fixed units are portable, they require a five-day period for full assembly into a functional theatre. Setting up a fixed MDMT unit also involves obtaining four essential permissions, which typically include local municipal approvals, fire safety clearances, electrical compliance, and public screening licenses. This setup is also ideal for Corporate and PSU project sites in remote areas, where a significant workforce is stationed, often without their families, and where entertainment options are extremely limited. Cinema units can be mantled and dismantled in just 2.5 hours, making them highly adaptable for rapid deployment. Unlike fixed MDMT units, which require a five-day setup process, mobile units offer the flexibility to be operational within hours. These Mobile Digital Movie Theatres (MDMT) can be used by State Governments to take cinema from village to village, providing rural communities with accessible family entertainment. They also serve as an effective medium for promoting key government welfare schemes, educating the masses on available benefits, and ensuring information reaches even the most remote areas. Additionally, setting up these units requires only three key permissions, typically covering venue approval, fire safety clearance, and licensing for public screenings.

While the fixed units are indeed portable, they require a five-day period for complete assembly into a fully functional theatre. Additionally, four distinct permissions are necessary for the setup of a fixed MDMT unit.

Cinema units can be mantled and dismantled in 2.5 hours. Only 3 permissions are required for mobile units. Mobile units can be dismantled at any time for movement.
